Home is where you unpack

I Sleep Where My Suitcase Rests is a video installation that explores the condition of perpetual displacement — the experience of living between places, belonging fully to none. The suitcase becomes a surrogate home: always present, always provisional.

The work investigates how migrants and refugees carry their identity not in a fixed address but in objects, memories, and the body itself. Where the suitcase stops, life begins — temporarily, tentatively, hopefully.

Part of an ongoing body of work exploring migration, collective memory, and the politics of belonging.
